Exclusive: General Hospital’s Kathleen Gati Is Ready for an Obrecht/Scott Takeover!

At the hospital, Carly checks in on Michael and Willow. Willow is still asleep, so Carly offers to sit with her so Michael can take a break. He refuses to leave until she wakes up. Willow stirs awake, and Michael welcomes her back and tells her how much he loves her. Carly steps out and tells Sonny, who is outside the room, that Willow is awake.

The Emmy winner has a bone to pick with his character. The General Hospital plotline that has had Michael waging war against his adoptive father has led to some great drama — as well as some issues for his portrayer. For instance, Chad Duell observes to Soap Opera Digest that his character “can be a bit of a broken record with how he feels about [Sonny] and Nina and all that kind of stuff.”

The heart wants what the heart wants — sometimes even a little payback. To put it mildly, Bold & Beautiful viewers have capital-F Feelings about anything and everything pertaining to Bill’s outta-nowhere love affair with merry murderess Sheila. So does the playboy’s portrayer, Don Diamont. Foremost among them: delight. “Doing things out of the norm is fun,” he said with a laugh during a recent edition of Bold Live.

We’ve known for some time that Nikolas was on his way out of Port Charles and the lives of everyone on General Hospital, but what we didn’t know was how or why he would be leaving! Would he kidnap Esme and run off to raise her child, much like he was raised after Laura’s own kidnapping? Was he going to be spirited away and locked up by Uncle Victor for meddling in the grand scheme?

But something tells us there’s even more going on!. The minute General Hospital‘s Nikolas threatened to steal Avery away from Ava, we knew he’d made a big mistake. Worse, he compounded it by then turning his back on her, leaving him unable to see the fire shooting out of her eyes… let alone the statue she then beaned him on the head with.

We were as shocked as Brooke by the state in which she found her friend. We can’t believe that Bold & Beautiful would really kill off Taylor. Not only is she a beloved character, but since Krista Allen took over the role in December 2021, she’s been more compelling than ever. On top of that, the soap has struck gold with her hard-won friendship with longtime romantic rival Brooke. (Allen and Katherine Kelly Lang may wind up being the best tag team since Lang and Susan Flannery got to play Brooke and Stephanie as more than mortal enemies.)
