The Burbank High School varsity boys’ soccer team defeated visiting North Hollywood, 4-1, in its season opener on Monday.
Junior George Atallah led with one goal and a pair of assists, while senior Gabriel Mier registered one goal and one assist. Sophomores Erik Antanesyan and Arthur Tovmasyan each scored once, while senior Davit Stepanyan one assist.
The Bulldogs will be idle next week until a nonleague match at La Cañada on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 3:30 p.m.
BURROUGHS
The Bears routed visiting Community Charter of Lakeview Terrace, 6-0, in their nonleague season opener on Tuesday. Individual statistics were not reported to the Burbank Leader.
JBHS (1-0 overall) will host Notre Dame High of Sherman Oaks in a nonleague game on Monday, Nov. 21, at 5 p.m.
