Emmerdale spoilers follow from Thursday night's episode (November 24).
Emmerdale's Mackenzie Boyd popped the question to Charity Dingle in the show's latest episode.
Mack made his impulsive decision as he struggled with the revelation that Chloe Harris is pregnant with his baby.
Thursday night's episode saw Mack become worried when an indiscreet Charity shared the news that Chloe is expecting.
Charity was oblivious to the significance of this revelation for Mack, who slept with Chloe earlier this year.

Worried about the implications for himself and his relationship, Mack paid a visit to Chloe at Keeper's Cottage.
Mack's worst fears were confirmed as Chloe verified that the baby is his and that she intends to proceed with the pregnancy.
Chloe assured Mack that she'd conceal his secret in the long-term by telling everyone that she had a random hook-up via a dating app.
Mack promised that he'd find a way to secretly pay child maintenance if Chloe kept quiet. However, he immediately questioned this strategy when Chloe mentioned that her mum Kerry Wyatt already knew the truth.

Concerned that Kerry would eventually expose everything, Mack returned home and seriously considered confessing all to his partner Charity.
Mack urged Charity to take a seat and braced himself to finally do the right thing. However, rather than telling Charity about Chloe, he spontaneously proposed instead.
Charity was stunned over Mack's gesture and questioned whether it was the right move for their relationship, but she ultimately accepted and excitedly shared their news at The Woolpack.
Chloe couldn't believe it when she later visited the pub and stumbled across the couple's engagement celebrations.

Baffled after their previous conversation, Chloe remarked: "I don't remember the part where you said you were going to go right over to her and propose."
Mackenzie also faced disapproval from Charity's son Ryan Stocks, who found out some details of his infidelity a few weeks ago.
Trying to win Ryan over, Mackenzie privately told him: "Look, I love your mum. I'm going to spend the rest of my life making sure that she knows that. I'm not going to mess her around."
Ryan replied: "You'd better not."
With Mackenzie continuing to scramble as he hides his secret, is he playing with fire?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
