AQUEBOGUE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A 21-year-old Long Island man was indicted on Wednesday for threatening to shoot up a synagogue, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

Christopher Brown was arrested alongside 22-year-old Matthew Mahrer on Nov. 18 in Penn Station, according to police.

Brown was in possession of a knife and a Nazi armband when he was arrested, officials said.

The indictment remains sealed, so the exact charges Brown was indicted on are not yet public, but he was previously charged with making a terroristic threat, aggravated harassment and criminal possession of a weapon after his arrest.

Brown and Mahrer drove to Pennsylvania to buy a gun, according to authorities.

Brown later made posts on social media in which he threatened to carry out a mass shooting at a synagogue, asking on Twitter if he should “become a husband or shoot up a synagogue and die.”

His arraignment is scheduled for Dec. 7.
