It has been over a week since a Medford father of five was last seen on camera leaving his home near the downtown area for an odd job.
On Jose Jesus Albarran Guerrero’s son's 27th birthday, his family spent the day handing out flyers with the hopes of finding their father before temperatures get colder.
“Today is my older brother Jose's birthday and it should be special but it does not feel special because we are broken as a family, we also don't want to celebrate because we are morning. We don't know what condition he is in or where is he at," said Ariadna Albarran, Jose Jesus Albarran Guerrero’s daughter.
Albarran Guerrero’s family said the last time they saw him, he came back from buying milk at the grocery store.
The 46-year-old told his family he met a man at the Sherm’s Thunderbird Market on West Main Street in Medford who offered him a job.
The Medford Police Department confirmed there is an active missing person report on Albarran Guerrero last week.
News10 reached out to the Medford Police Department again this week and asked if we could speak with an officer or detective who could explain what the department is doing to help find Albarran Guerrero.
The police department said it did not have anyone who had time to speak with us regarding the case.
Ariadna Albarran explained the detective working the case told her the agency is still in the process of going through video surveillance from the area where her father was last seen.
She said so far, the agency has not found her father on camera at Sherm's Thunderbird Market.
Ariadna Albarran said the detective informed her the other businesses in the area that have surveillance cameras up were not recording on the day her father was last seen.
Now as the holidays near, the tight-knit family is struggling to stay positive and is all worried about their mother.
My mom is not doing well, she isn't eating. Her health is getting worse by the day," said Ariadna Albarran. "She is worried that she is running out of time because it is getting colder every day, she thinks people will forget him. She feels hopeless."
Albarran Guerrero is described as 5’5, 157 lbs., with hazel and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a green Oregon Ducks sweater, gray hat, blue jeans, and brown work boots.
The father of five speaks both English and Spanish and is also known to go by the name, Jesse.
The family asks if anyone knows of his whereabouts or sees their father, to please call the police.
