Police searching for man who attempted to rape woman on Brooklyn subway

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who attempted to rape a passenger on a Brooklyn train last week.

A 24-year-old woman was riding a northbound 4 train around 11:25 p.m on Nov. 17 when a man sitting next to her took off his pants and underwear and forcibly laid on top of her, authorities said.

The man groped her and attempted to pull down her skirt, but she was able to flee to another train car, according to officials.

The attacker fled at the Bowling Green subway station at the southern tip of Manhattan and then boarded a ferry to Staten Island.
