The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special spoilers follow.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is dropping tomorrow (November 25), carrying on from the first two films in the franchise and setting up the third.

But it looks like Disney+ spoiled a plot element from the special with their recap series Marvel Studios: Legends.

The promotional videos serve as a way to get newcomers and fans alike up to speed on a particular group or character just before the release of the latest series or film, using selections of old clips.

Episodes for Drax and Mantis dropped yesterday (November 23), but were quickly taken down after it was discovered that the Mantis episode contained a deleted scene from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, in which Mantis revealed that she was a child of Ego and therefore related to Peter Quill/Star-Lord.

If the deleted scene wasn't important, it wouldn't have been included in the Legends episode.

But since the episodes were so quickly removed from Disney+, that suggests the plot twist is going to be a big part of the Holiday Special.

If anything, the House of Mouse might have drawn more attention to the early revelation by deleting the episodes.

One thing that won't happen in the special, as confirmed by writer and director James Gunn, is a last-minute appearance by the Silver Surfer, a character that is part of some of the most important Marvel comic storylines of all time.

But we will get to see Kevin Bacon feature quite heavily, so that's a fair trade-off, we reckon.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special premieres tomorrow on Disney+.

In his time he's covered a host of live events, interviewed celebrities big and small and crowbarred a countless amount of great/awful (delete as appropriate) puns into articles.

Joe currently does not use Twitter, but he only ever used it to tell people to watch the film Help! I'm a Fish (which you really should do).
