This Thanksgiving Harmons Neighborhood Grocer held its annual turkey giveaway in collaboration with the low-income advocates of the Crossroads Urban Center, who helped distribute over 3,000 turkeys to needy families.

The Utah Investigative Journalism Project was honored to contribute to the event by having our recent “How to erase your eviction record” guide included in the holiday turkey meal kits.

The guide, available in English and Spanish, walks readers through in simple terms the process for taking advantage of a new law that allows Utahns to petition the court to have old evictions wiped off their records for free.

Crossroads Urban Center and Harmons have worked together since 1997 delivering holiday turkeys to help fight hunger over the holidays.
