Students from Aquebogue Elementary School and Roanoke Avenue Elementary School hosted a webinar for three veterans in honor of Veterans Day.

Third and fourth grade students from the elementary schools listened to the stories from the U.S. veterans. The event was facilitated by Aquebogue Compass Team helped to facilitate this event.

“The themes of teamwork and service were woven throughout what was a memorable learning experience for the students,” said Aquebogue Elementary School Principal Bryan Miltenberg.

The students asked questions to Captain Beck, Specialist Gilmore and Officer Kruengel. The students also thanked the veterans for their service.

“All of the students left more prepared to apply what they learned in further appreciating the Veterans Day holiday and the Riverhead community,” said Aquebogue Assistant Principal Gary Karlson.
