Police Log: juvenile $1000 Polo Ralph Lauren theft, juvenile burglary over $5 owed

Auto Theft

Deputies responded to an auto theft incident on West Ute Boulevard in the Kimball Junction area. The complainant stated that the theft occurred between 4:00pm on 11/18/22 and 11/22/22. No surveillance footage was located that captured the incident. No suspect information is available at this time. The white 2000 Ford F250 was listed as stolen.

Juvenile Burglary

A dispute over $5 led to two juvenile males breaking into a Kamas home. The suspects entered the home through an unlocked door and stole one singular new tennis shoe and ran out of the door. One suspect was contacted and admitted his involvement because he was owed $5 by the victim. A juvenile referral was issued for the male who entered the residence.  The outstanding tennis shoe was reported to be with the other juvenile, who was in Park City.  The reporting deputy will follow up with the other juvenile to recover the stolen shoe.

Juvenile Theft

Deputies responded to the Polo Ralph Lauren outlet at Kimball Junction, after receiving reports of two juveniles stealing from the store. Several minutes elapsed while the suspects appeared to be shopping, and when employees became distracted the two teens each took an armful of clothing, estimated to be valued over $1000. Witnesses observed the two juveniles get into a silver Mercedes-Benz SUV bearing UT plate 0U7MS which did not return to any active registration. Deputies patrolled the area but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

Possession of a controlled substance

A traffic stop was initiated on highway SR-32, near mile marker 17. Upon contacting the driver, a faint odor of marijuana could be smelled coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle discovered a user amount of marijuana inside a baggie. The marijuana was seized, and the driver was cited for possession of a controlled substance-marijuana and released from the scene.

Residential Burglary 

A delayed forced entry burglary of a residence was reported in Coalville. Signs of forced entry to a back door were observed and numerous items were believed to have been removed from the residence. A detective and Crime Scene Tech were notified and responded to the residence. There are no identified suspects or leads.
