NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An off-duty MTA employee was randomly assaulted at a Queens subway station earlier this month and police are searching for the man they say is responsible.

The victim was at the Court Square G train station in Long Island City around 4:40 a.m. on Nov. 13 when he was approached by the attacker, police said.

The man punched the victim in the face with a closed fist and took out a knife before fleeing the station, according to officials.

Cops said the victim had minor bruising to his face but refused medical attention at the scene.

The suspect is described as having a medium complexion, about 35 to 45-years-old.
