Jackson County Fire District 5 responded to a fully-involved house fire in Ashland Tuesday evening.

With assistance from Ashland Fire and Rescue as well as Medford Fire Department, officials were able to knock the fire down and protect nearby buildings.

The home's occupants were out of the building safely by the time first responders arrived.

Doe to limited access and weather conditions, officials say crews were limited on how many units could respond to the scene.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

Investigations into the fire will be completed by the Oregon State Fire Marshall's office.
