Like Father like Son; Adam and Felix Frisch

ASPEN, Colo. (KREX) — Adam Frisch will not be the next representative for Colorado’s 3rd district but the close race he ran surprised many across the country–a race that had surprising help.

“I think I might’ve been a little more enthusiastic than he was at the beginning,” said Felix Frisch, the 16-year-old son of Adam Frisch. That enthusiasm didn’t go away either, Felix told KREX that he helped organize 130 college interns to make 700,000 phone calls for the Frisch campaign. Even on the last campaign day, election day, Felix was with his dad on the trail. “Today [election day] I just got back from a 3,000 mile, 102 stop road trip; just my dad and I driving in our truck and meeting people,” Felix said.

Helping with both of those massive projects takes a lot of time and energy, something a 16yr-old in high school doesn’t typically have. “I decided to do school online this year just because I wanted to be involved in the campaign,” Felix said. But even with that decision, he still had to make sacrifices, telling KREX that he hadn’t been able to see his friends very much while on the trail.

But he has no regrets,” it was 100% worth it,” Felix said and he’s not the only one. “It made our family stronger,” said Adam Frisch. Felix wasn’t the only Frisch not named Adam helping out on the campaign.

“Our daughter wasn’t traveling nearly as much but she was super involved… and then Kay has been the rock behind this entire thing,” said Adam Frisch.

The whole campaign turned into a Frisch family affair.

“[the] family is stronger because of it and at the end of the day that’s all that matters,” said Felix.
