Around 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 21, authorities responded to a fire at Ville 647 across the street from Pearson Tire in Richfield. All local law enforcement, fire and EMS responded. Multiple people were pulled from the building and taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and minor injuries, but authorities believe they were able to get everyone out of the building and accounted for. According to Sevier County Commissioner Ralph Brown, the displaced individuals were offered shelter at the Sevier County Fairgrounds for the night with food provided by the LDS church. The Red Cross has also been contacted and is responding for further assistance. The Utah State Fire Marshal’s Office will respond Nov. 22 to investigate the cause of the fire.
