Scottsbluff PD awarded Buckle up grant

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - Scottsbluff Police Officers will be working overtime up to 108 hours to be exact come November 23rd-27th.
Scottsbluff Police Department is awarded a grant from Nebraska Department of Transporation Highway Safety Office for the new “Buckle Up, Every Trip, Every Time” grant.
Officers will be looking out for all traffic violations and writing seat belt citation when needed.
Lance Kite Scottsbluff Police Department Captain says “I would just ask that people buckle up as they are traveling whether its inside City limits or throughout the State or the Country. Seat belts do save lives and that why were out there trying to take enforcement action making sure every does buckle up.”
