PULLMAN - The 31-year-old Lewiston woman who was arrested in Pullman with hundreds of fentanyl pills in September has been sent to prison.

Meaghan Slaney pleaded guilty Friday in Whitman County Superior Court to felony possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver. Judge Gary Libey sentenced Slaney to a year and a day in prison.

The case began as a car theft investigation. The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report on September 1st of a Cadillac being stolen from a home near Rosalia. Pullman Police located the car at Walmart. Officers determined that Slaney was riding in the stolen vehicle. She was found with over 200 fentanyl pills when she was taken into custody. The man who stole the Cadillac, 20 year old Brady Trott of Clarkston was previously sentenced to three months in jail for felony burglary.
