Man Fatally Shot Near Encampment in Hollywood, Multiple Suspects in Custody

Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA: A man was shot and killed near the homeless encampment at the intersection of La Mirada Avenue and Vine Street Monday morning, Nov. 21, around 2:40 a.m.

Los Angeles Police Department Hollywood Division officers responded and located a man with a gunshot wound in the roadway in the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Officers immediately requested Los Angeles Fire Department resources to the scene. LAFD resources waited while LAPD officers cleared the location and made sure no additional suspects were hiding in the tents on the east side of the street.

Approximately five suspects were taken into custody allegedly related to the fatal shooting.

It is currently unknown if the suspects were directly related to the victim in some way and if a weapon was recovered at this time.
