Vehicle Slams into Freeway Pillar in Traffic Collision Involving 2 Vehicles

Mid-City, Los Angeles, CA: A traffic collision involving two vehicles and a freeway support pillar occurred Sunday evening under the I-10 Freeway and Venice Boulevard.

The collision was reported in the 6000 block of Venice Boulevard around 11:30 p.m., Nov. 20, in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles.

Two vehicles appeared to be traveling eastbound on Venice Boulevard when they were involved in a traffic collision.

The crash resulted in the pickup truck slamming into a freeway support pillar.

Initial reports stated that the victim’s vehicle was on fire and persons were trapped. The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the location and found that neither vehicle was involved in fire.

One person was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Officer Drake Madison with the Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations Division. No crime was involved.

The cause of the collision is unknown at this time.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
