The Washington Capitals have officially "loaned" forward Connor McMichael to the Hershey Bears.
The NHL affiliate to the Bears announced the decision via Brian MacLellan, the senior vice president and general manager of the Capitals.
McMichael, a 21-year-old previous prodigy of the Bears, had appeared in six games during this years' season with the Capitals.
In total, McMichael was responsible for 18 points across 68 games during his 2021-2022 run, leading the Capitals rookies in goals and points.
McMichael also lead the Bears in goals (14) and points (27) during his first professional season with them back in 2020-2021.
The young professional athlete quickly garnered a lot of success, being included in the AHL North Division All-Star Team and the AHL All-Rookie Team, being the first Capitals player to do so since John Carlson during his 2009-2010 run.
McMichael will wear the #14 jersey and join the team for today's game.
