Peanut butter is an almost perfect survival food. Carbs, fat, protein, vitamins and long shelf life. You just can't really go wrong with peanut butter.

Pure peanut butter is delicious. Unfortunately, the oil will separate in pure peanut butter. So it needs to be stirred back in, which is difficult because it's so thick. That's why most peanut butters are really "peanut butter spreads" and have typically 20% or more additives to make them smooth and consistent. But for those willing to do the work of stirring, pure peanut butter is great.
