Friday basketball results include MH winning 2 junior high boys’ games over Cave City

Mountain Home was able to win a pair of junior high boys’ basketball games over Cave City on Friday.
The Eighth Grade Bombers beat the Eighth Grade Cavemen 55-31. Tucker Thompson led Mountain Home with 20 points. The Eighth Grade Bombers improve to 3-0, and they’ll travel to Nettleton on Monday.
Mountain Home also took the seventh grade game over Cave City 42-36. The Seventh Grade Bombers were led by Johnny Krueger and Colden Whitaker with 14 points each.

Mountain Home Christian Academy was swept in three basketball games at Calico Rock.
The varsity boys’ game ended with the Eagles losing to the Pirates 78-69. Jordan Woods was Mountain Home Christian’s top scorer with 16 points, Gabriel Rogers had 15, Jordan Jacobs provided 14, and Riley Peglar added 12 points.
Mountain Home Christian did not fare any better in the varsity girls’ contest as they fell to Calico Rock 65-20. Caroline Robinson led the Lady Eagles with 11 points.
The evening began with Mountain Home Christian’s junior boys losing to Calico Rock 65-26. The Junior Eagles were led by Konner Woods with 17 points.

Cotter was able to take a pair of girls’ games over Green Forest.
The senior high game ended with the Lady Warriors doubling up the Lady Tigers 56-28. Emma Jones was Cotter’s leading scorer with 15 points, and Kylee Chastain chipped in 10.
Cotter beat up on Green Forest 53-8 in the junior high contest. Shawn Foster paced the Junior Lady Warriors with 13 points.

Mammoth Spring picked up a pair of easy high school victories over Armorel.
The Bears pounded the Tigers 81-46 in the boys’ game. Mammoth Spring was led by Gavin Boddie with 16 points, Brayden Cray scored 15, Nathaneal Rogers finished with 11, and Garet O’Dell added 10.
Mammoth Spring also beat up on Armorel 65-22 in the girls’ contest. Laney Young was the Lady Bears’ top scorer with 11 points.
