Mustangs roll behind guard play

The Marble Falls Mustangs put up a 41-21 victory over the Austin Navarro Vikings Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Navarro.

Sophomore guard Tidus Willie scored 18 points to lead the team in scoring.

The Mustangs played standout defense and pulled away with a 12-2 second quarter run. Marble Falls led 19-7 at halftime.

Junior Kody Smith added 10 points for the Marble Falls offense.

The Mustangs (2-0) are at Waco High Friday, Nov. 18. The varsity tip is 7 p.m.

“I’m real proud of them as a group,’’ Marble Falls boys head coach Travis Crain said.

The other Mustang scorers were: Davis Dreisbach four, Bram Bowen—three, Garen Jones three, Cooper Cochran two and Jaime Castillo one.

All of the Mustang scorers are underclassmen.
