5 Thoughts & Full Game Highlights: St Louis Blues vs Chicago Blackhawks - November 16, 2022

The St Louis Blues beat the Chicago Blackhawks, 5-2.

1: Embarrassing - There is no doubt this was an embarrassing loss. Not only being blown out at home, but being blown on National Television (TNT) is pretty humiliating. It was the mom's trip for the Blues, so maybe they gave them a little extra boost as the dad's did for the Blackhawks.

2: Arvid Söderblom's First Rough Game - It was not a good showing for him, and his first one of his career. Söderblom let up five goals out of 35 shots, which is not like him. The defense was bad too, and he didn't really get any help. It was just an all-around bad game for Arvid, and fans hope he bounces back from this.

3: Caleb Jones is not good at Hockey - He is not. Easily one of the worst players on the team. He can't defend, can't shoot, and is always turning the puck over. Jones looks like a lost dog out on the ice. He had a costly mistake against Carolina, and now a costly mistake against St Louis. Not to mention, Caleb was out on the ice during all 5 goals (-5). Go figure.

4: Andreas Athanasiou - He was the only good part of this game. He scored all of Chicago's goals. Andreas scored on a partial break and on the power play with a 2 on 1. He ripped it off the post and into the net. At least one Hawk wanted to play hockey that night.

5: Shoot more - The dump and chase is getting better, but we seem to not find the net first, and always go down 2-0, and that isn't helping them whatsoever. They always seem to be losing in the shots on goal side of things, and they need to shoot more. However, we had a lot of good chances, but Binnington stood hsi ground and made some pretty good saves.
