A brand-new floating boat fuel storage facility is coming to lake mead.
Lake Mead Mohave Adventures (LMMA) announced it will be installed at its Callville Bay Marina location this month.
Once completed, the system will ensure boaters have access to gas now and for years, despite Lake Mead's ever-changing water levels.

Because of the ongoing installation process, boat fuel will not be available at Callville Bay Marina from now until Nov. 28.
LMMA encourages boaters to visit its other marina locations for fuel at Lake Mead and Lake Mohave, including Cottonwood Cove Resort and Marina, Temple Bar Resort and Marina, and Willow Beach Marina and Campground.
"With water levels constantly fluctuating, we needed to come up with a creative solution to ensure boaters always have access to fuel," Chad Taylor, director of sales and marketing at Lake Mead Mohave Adventures, said. "This system renovation will allow us to transform our existing stationary fuel station into a floating structure to adapt to current conditions."
