The Holiday Season is busy.

There are presents to buy, invitations to be sent, gatherings to attend, family matters, and a whole lot more.

It's go, go, go! But perhaps before everything kicks into high gear, you'd like something a little... old-fashioned.

Well, make plans now to attend the 9th annual 'Old Fashioned Christmas Worship Service'. It's happening Saturday, December 3rd at 7:00 P.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in rural Menno, South Dakota. This is a celebration of the real meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus, in a simpler, old-fashioned way before that inevitable rush of the season.

The worship service includes a children's nativity, candlelight, German singing, plus the use of an old-fashioned pump organ. Oh, and there's an apple treat for everyone!

Feel free to come dressed in attire from another period of time, perhaps from the 1800s, the 1940s, or simply Grandpa's bibs from yesteryear. You might even utilize Grandma's Sunday hat.

Fellowship and lunch with ethnic foods will follow the service.

The church is located 6 miles south of Menno (29219 431 Ave.) in the James River Valley. If you have questions, give Barb a call at 605-660-1410.
