A MUM had no idea she was critically ill until her husband spotted a tiny sign while they were in bed on their wedding anniversary.
Catherine Fahey, 34, is "lucky to be alive" after husband Kyle noticed the left side of her face started to droop.
The fitness enthusiast was asleep on what should have been a happy day celebrating her 13th wedding anniversary - but ended with her spending two days in hospital.
Kyle rushed his wife to a nearby hospital in Lincoln when he woke in the middle of the night in September and saw his wife's condition.
The couple had spent the evening watching films with their two kids Alfie, 14, and Bella, 11, before they all climbed into bed together.
She told LincolnshireLive: "[Kyle] turned the light on and started talking to me, just to tell me both the kids were in bed.

"He asked if I was OK, but as soon as I replied he definitely knew something was wrong."
The mum-of-two thought she was "talking and acting fine" before realising she had no mobility in her left side.
After being told by 999 the wait time for an ambulance was two hours, Kyle frantically put Catherine over his shoulder and carried her to the car.
A CT scan confirmed Catherine was having a stroke before being submitted to the critical stroke unit.
"Luckily because [Kyle] acted so fast, the doctors were able to treat me really quickly. I was on the medication within an hour," Catherine added.
"I didn't really feel scared but I felt so confused.
"I saw Kyle was upset and the nurse said to him, 'this is all down to her now how she recovers'. I just gave it everything."
Despite making a good recovery, Catherine will have to go for regular check-ups and cannot take part in strenuous exercise.
Participating in light training, Catherine hopes to raise awareness for the signs of stroke by taking part in a marathon.
"Kyle absolutely saved my life and for that I love him more than ever," Catherine added.
