Prince Harry is reportedly traveling to England over the holidays to explain his "intent" in writing Spare to the royal family. According to the Daily Mail, Harry may fly to the United Kingdom to promote his memoir in early 2023, and a source somewhat dramatically told the outlet: "Put it this way, it's not going to make for a relaxing family Christmas."

This comes amid a report from The Mirror that Harry and Meghan Markle turned down an invitation to spend Christmas with the royal family in Sandringham, with a source saying things are "near rock bottom" despite hopes that there might have been a “thawing of relations” following the Queen's death in September.

One insider told the outlet that the royals were “completely caught by surprise” by the title of the memoir, adding, “This book could spell the end for any relationship Harry wants to have with his family, it’s desperately sad. Everyone is bracing themselves for yet another fraught and frantic period at the mercy of the Sussexes.”

As far as what this memoir is even about, Harry himself simply said, “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become. I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story—the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned—I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”

However, when it comes to dramatic content about the royal family, a source with no chill told the Daily Mail that "the book is much worse than people think," so...guess we'll see!
