Authorities are currently investigating a plane crash that occurred today at around 12:52 p.m. at the Thomasville airport between Airport Road and S. Grant Road, according to dispatch operators.
Numerous crews are on the scene to assist including hazmat, rescue, and fire teams.
According to Thomasville airport, the plane had ran into one of the airport's perimeter fences.
Officials say that the accident only involved one plane and one person, who was revealed to be the pilot.
He has been safely extracted from the plane and has no injuries.
Currently, officials say that no other vehicles or aircrafts were involved in the crash and that the airport has been shutdown until the initial investigation concludes.
