A West Dallas commercial building has been destroyed by an overnight fire.
Dallas Fire-Rescue got the 911 calls just past midnight and rolled to a stretch of commercial buildings near Sylvan and Fabrication Street that is filled with auto repair shops, body shops, metal fabricators and small manufacturers.
They found one of the buildings absolutely swallowed up in flames. There was nothing they could do but try to stop the fire from spreading.
The location is nearly a mile north of I-30 but the smoke and flames were easily visible to drivers. No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
