These are the best restaurants in Massachusetts, according to Yelp

Massachusetts has two of the top 10 best place to eat in New England, according to Yelp.

The website released its top 100 list of the best place to eat in New England on Tuesday. The restaurants were ranked by Yelp on multiple factors, including total volume of ratings between Jan. 1, 2017, through July 27, 2022, and having a passing health score.

The overall best place to eat in New England is Jayd Bun in Rhode Island, according to Yelp.The restaurant, according to Yelp, specializes in “comfort food” that chef Annie Parisi grew up with in Tianjin, China.

“We’ve eaten here at least 5 times over the past two weeks,” one review stated. “The food is delicious and made to order, everything tastes fresh, and the flavor profiles are amazing. It’s obvious that Annie and Joe deeply care about what they serve. My favorite is the spicy wonton dish, but the pan-fried buns are ridiculously good.”

Overall, 40 Massachusetts lists made the top 100. However, two Massachusetts restaurants made the top 10 list. Listed at number eight was Branches Grill and Cafe in Chatham and Ciao! Pizza and Pasta in Chelsea was listed at number nine.

“Visitors to this quiet seaside town, on the ‘elbow’ of Cape Cod, are often surprised to learn that it’s home to a fantastic Jamaican restaurant,” Yelp wrote about the Chatham restaurant.
