Scott McCall’s pack has set a reunion date in Beacon Hills.
Teen Wolf: The Movie, a direct continuation of MTV’s Teen Wolf (2011–2017), will premiere Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada, as announced today during the film’s New York Comic Con panel.
It will be available for fans in the U.K., Latin America and Australia to stream on Jan. 27, with additional international market premieres still TBD.
Per the movie’s official logline, “a full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a werewolf like Scott, no longer a teenager yet still an alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.”
As revealed Tyler Posey on the panel, the film is set 15 years after the end of Teen Wolf.
Cast members returning from the original series include Posey as Scott McCall, Crystal Reed as Allison Argent, Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale, Holland Roden as Lydia Martin, Colton Haynes as Jackson Whittemore, Shelley Hennig as Malia Tate, Dylan Sprayberry as Liam Dunbar, Linden Ashby as Noah Stilinski, Melissa Ponzio as Melissa McCall, JR Bourne as Chris Argent, Khylin Rhambo as Mason Hewitt, Orny Adams as Bobby Finstock, Seth Gilliam as Alan Deaton, Ryan Kelley as Jordan Parrish, John Posey as Conrad Fenris and Ian Bohen as Peter Hale.
Newcomers include Vince Mattis as Eli Hale (Derek’s son!), Amy Lin Workman as Hikari Zhang, Nobi Nakanishi as Deputy Ishida and L. B. Fisher as Coach Hogan.

making slight correction here, john posey isnt a newcomer, he has played dr fenris already
Yes. Tylers father did play a part on the show.
All I can say is: Wow! January 26th can’t come fast enough. We get a clip involving Allison. It’s like Crystal never left.
I can’t wait!
Looking forward to this. It will be an insane strategy if Paramount+ don’t release it at the same time in all regions where it’s available as people will just end up pirating it. If they want subscribers they need to drop new releases to all markets at the same time like D+, Netflix and Amazon.
This, currently in UK shows get dropped to Paramount+ later than the US. Unless you want to be spoiled you’ll find another way to watch, which means they’re loosing subscribers in international markets.
Except Paramount+ are releasing this and the new series next day in the UK (27th Jan). They’re doing a similar thing with the upcoming series of Yellowstone.
I find D+ far worse when it comes to dropping new releases, specifically Star/Hulu shows.
For example, The Bear, released in June this year in the US, has only just been released on D+ in the UK, several months later..
You’re not comparing like to like. Those shows are not D+ originals so they don’t have the same control over release dates whereas any D+ originals are released worldwide simultaneously, same for Amazon Prime, Netflix etc. If it’s not an original show by the streaming platform then of course there’s less control over release dates, For the teen wolf movie which is a P+ original and they should have control over releasing, they have given the release date now for the US and some regions but for others it’s still some time in 2023, for example the UK all the paramountplusuk official accounts just say that the movie will be released some time in 2023, whereas the US gives the specific date.
I know it makes sense from a marketing pov to use the Teen Wolf movie to also raise awareness of Wolf Pack (even though unconnected universes), but seems a missed opportunity not having movie available to release for Halloween.
Your right. They could release both the Teen Wolf movie & Wolf Pack next Halloween. Looking forward to both.
I wish it takes place in the same universe as “Teen Wolf”. That way, there would be crossovers.
So friggen happy we’re going to get some more Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale again. Love seeing him as Superman and CLark, but you can never have too much Hoechlin.
The banter between Derick & Eli feels natural, like a true father/son bond. Also, looking forward to seeing Allison again too.
While im happy with what we got at tw panel I do wish we got a bit more info on the two new characters deputy ishida and hikari zhang, i understand going in with mystery but there isnt alot of draw to pull me and alot of fans in the movie anyway, we need a bit more bait, like I know the hype is around dereks son but honestly im not that interested in him until we find out who the mom is, like if his mom is another non werewolf supernatural maybe ill care then but as of now i dont, im more interested in the other new faces whom we barely know anything
How do you think Allison comes back? I’ve read theories that she could be an imposter or a carbon-copy that the Nogitsune makes. But I think it’s really her. After all, much like Dereck’s son, they are hyping up her return. What you think? I just hope that if it is her that she will be alive at the end of the movie, so she can appear in future installments.
maybe a zombie minion of nogitsune is what im going with
First off I can’t wait the trailers look amazing. But on Google it says the release date is October 15th?
that is false release date
Of course it starts with Derek being hurt. Wouldn’t be Teen Wolf if Derek Hale wasn’t being hunted or tortured. I’m hoping and assuming that they wouldn’t be crazy enough to kill Derek, I’d guess he gets badly hurt, due to Superman and Lois schedule and availability likely needed a logical way to explain why he’s MIA. It’s funny now that in that clip all I could see was dad Clark.
I guess Cora Hale isn’t going to be in it, nobody has even mentioned her.
Even though high school is over now I hope the Beacon Hills alums still get together to play recreationally. I’m sure the old soccer coach could organize a few games. Can you imagine the red cards the refs would be handing out with 22 wolves on the pitch? Although I suppose the refs would be the first ‘kills’ of the evening.
woah, who the eff did Derek have a kid with?!?! Can’t wait for this! Really hope it’s good!!!
Pretty sure someone comes in and saves Derek Scott/Peter? In the first trailer we see Derek a few times after so he clearly heals. Wondering if this movie takes place over a 24 hour time period, from this scene and the trailer the characters are dressed the same. Not sure if I’m happy or sad that they seem to have gone full on good dad vibe with Derek. While I really wanted to see a good relationship with Derek and his son, I wouldn’t say no to seeing a glimpse of the sour wolf Derek that we know and love.
The scene between Dereck & his son reminds me of the banter that Clark has with his sons on “Superman & Lois.” And it feels like a genuine father/son bond.
We saw Derek softening a lot by end of season 4 and being less angry, now being a dad is a great evolution for his character, and we know from Superman & Lois Tyler makes a great TV dad. Though it would break Derek completely if something happens to Eli. Hoping Jeff Davis doesn’t go there as Derek has already lost too many people!
Paramount just wants to prolong the wait for the movie, this month would be great seeing as Halloween is coming. I am sure there are a lot of angry fans, I am one of them.
Perhaps it’s for the best. It would get lost in the buzz of the other movies & shows if it were released now. They can build up more buzz now for the “Teen Wolf” movie & the “Wolf Pack” if they delay the release to next year.
Best birthday present ever!!
happy birthday
I can’t WAIT to see this movie!!!!
Neither can I
were styles stilinski ?
he aint returning
Oooh… Don’t you kill my Derek!!!
