The upcoming The Blacklist Season 10 will give a major nod to the tragic Season 1 event with the coming of Siya Malik, who will be played by Anya Banerjee, Meera Malik’s (Parminder Nagra) daughter.

Siya’s arrival proves the claim that The Blacklist Season 10 will feature a major throwback twist. Aside from revisiting the tragic event, the coming of Meera’s daughter will also explore her work and death.

Anya Banerjee Joins The Blacklist Season 10

Banerjee joins the show’s new season in a series-regular role. Just like her mom, she, too, is in the investigation field as an Intelligence Officer for the U.K.’s Secret Intelligence Service called MI6.

Her mother, Meera, was seen in almost all episodes The Blacklist Season as the original member of Red’s (James Spader) special task force.

However, she was killed by an assassin in the premiere season finale. So, Siya’s arrival in The Blacklist Season 10 means she’s about to find some answers about her mom's death.

There are no words yet on what episode Banerjee will make her first appearance, but she’s set to fill the void Amir Arison and Laura Sohn left.

The two made their exit in the ninth-season finale. Aram (Arison) revealed he would be taking “some time away” as an FBI agent, but in real life, he’s part of The Kite Runner on Broadway. Alternatively, Alina (Sohn) took a medical leave after learning she was pregnant.
