A Nebraska man wanted for a domestic assault was arrested in Kansas on Thursday night, according to law enforcement.According to the Cass County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a domestic violence assault call in Eagle around 8:17 p.m. The Cass County Sheriff's Office said the first deputy on the scene found an adult female with assault injuries and her daughter standing in the street.The female told authorities that her husband "struck her multiple times with a closed fist," according to the Cass County Sheriff's Office.Her husband, identified as 57-year-old Michael Brueckner, exited the home and was confronted by authorities, then went back into the home, according to law enforcement.Brueckner then exited the home and fled to his vehicle, according to authorities. The Cass County Sheriff's Office said a short foot pursuit ensued, and attempts were made to take Brueckner into custody, including an "unsuccessful" tasing. Authorities said Brueckner, who appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance, reversed the vehicle, striking a deputy and then colliding with a sheriff's patrol car before fleeing the scene.State troopers assisted with the search and attempted to ping locations, but Brueckner fled the state of Nebraska, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Office.The Riley County Sheriff's Office in Kansas was able to locate the suspect vehicle and began pursuit, according to authorities. The Cass County Sheriff's Office said the pursuit was ended though due to "dangerous speeds and driving."Officers from Wabaunsee, in northeast Kansas, later found Brueckner passed out in his vehicle at a rest stop and completed a felony stop, according to authorities.The Cass County Sheriff's Office said Brueckner was tased two more times before being arrested for several felony charges.More headlines
