TO 20 YEARS IN PRISON. WELL, TODAY MARKS 23 YEARS SINCE A SALEM MAN WAS LAST SEEN AT HIS HOME. AUTHORITIES ARE STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM. JOSEPH MURAWSKI WAS 72 YEARS OLD WHEN HE WAS REPORTED MISSING ON OCTOBER SIX, 1999. AT THE TIME OF HIS DISAPPEARANCE, A TRACK WAS DONE WITH MULTIPLE CANINES AND A SWAMPY AREA NEAR HIS HOME WAS SEARCHED, BUT THOSE EFFORTS TURNED UP. NO SIGN OF HIM. Morawski was last seen in the Lawrence Road/Diamond Avenue area at 11 a.m. earlier that day, according to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System. NamUS says he was last seen wearing a red and gray flannel shirt, black jeans, a blue baseball cap with a team logo, dark-colored shoes and a pendant with his name and address.At the time of his disappearance, a track was done with multiple K-9s and a swampy area near his home was search, but those efforts turned up no sign of Morawski.Anyone with information is asked to contact the New Hampshire State Police Missing Persons Unit at 603-MCU-TIPS.
