Johnny Wayne Capps

Johnny Wayne “Beetle” Capps, 60 of Puryear, Tennessee, died Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Perry County Nursing Home in Linden, Tennessee.

Johnny was born Thursday, August 1, 1963, in Paris, Tennessee, to the late Lawrence Capps and the late Laverne Pace Capps. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister: Betty Capps Haddock; and two brothers: Charles Capps and David Capps.

He loved people and enjoyed interacting with others.  Johnny was a big teddy bear and an avid Tennessee Titans fan.

He is survived by his five nephews: Chris Capps (Tiffany), of Paris, Eric Capps (Amanda), of Texas, Larry Haddock, of Ohio, Ronnie (Trisha) Haddock, of Ohio, and Jason Haddock, of Paris; three sisters-in-law: Jackie Capps, of Murray, Kentucky, Delois Capps, of Paris, and Faye Capps, of Paris; three nieces: Lori Capps (Richie) Pond, of Paris, Carrie (Art) Smith, of Paris, and Paula Haddock, of Ohio; and several great nieces and great nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee 38242.  Visitation will be Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Pond, Chris Capps, Stacey Nored, and Johnny Ward.

Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Paris, Tennessee.
