Five of six people charged with vandalism make first court appearance
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - In Riverside, CA, five of the six people charged with vandalism made their first court appearance this Thursday.
For further context, this was in response to the July 30 vandalism, where protestors vandalized the Historic Courthouse.
Not only that, a similar incident occurred on July 9, also committed by the protestors, where they painted green handprints all over the Courthouse.
Accordingly, the six charged for the two incidents are Aida Y. Aston, Alexander Jacob Castro, Kamile Dincsoy, Alexandria T. Fite, Elsie S. Kelder, and Oliver E. Solares Herrera.
However, all but Dincsoy appeared in court Thursday for their arraignment, after the police charged them on September 30.
Furthermore, the five who did appear in court plead not guilty pleas and now have felony settlement conferences for January 12, 2023.
Correspondingly, an arrest warrant had been issued for Dincsoy as she is out of the county.
