Top competitors from across the United States and the world are showing off their jumping skills at the Murieta Equestrian Center this weekend for the Sacramento International Horse Show.The Sacramento International Horse Show got underway Thursday as riders and their horses compete to qualify for the World Cup Finals in Omaha, Nebraska, next spring."They're jumping meter 50 to meter 60 heights at the top of their career," said event manager Caroline Jones. "They are the top show jumpers in the world."Jones said there are competitors from Belgium, Ireland and Canada, but crowds should look for hometown talent Karrie Rufer and Katie Harris. "I cannot express the excitement in the building," Jones said. "The buzz and the event is very exciting to watch."Jones said the crown jewel is on Saturday night with the finals, and it's already sold out. She encourages people to attend the competition Thursday, which is free for everyone. Friday night, tickets are free for children and veterans.
