WE ARE TOLD HE DIED AT THE SCENE. AND WE NOW KNOW THE NAME OF A PEDESTRIAN WHO WAS KILLED AFTER HE WAS HIT BY A CAR IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY. The coroner has released the name of the man hit and killed Wednesday night in Spartanburg County. It happened on Reidville Road near Smith Road around 9:45 p.m., troopers said. That's three miles west of Spartanburg.A Ford Mustang was traveling west on Highway 296 when it hit Kenneth T. Lamb, 55, who was in the road, troopers said.Lamb died at the scene. The driver of the Ford was not injured.
SPARTANBURG, S.C. —
The coroner has released the name of the man hit and killed Wednesday night in Spartanburg County.
It happened on Reidville Road near Smith Road around 9:45 p.m., troopers said. That's three miles west of Spartanburg.

A Ford Mustang was traveling west on Highway 296 when it hit Kenneth T. Lamb, 55, who was in the road, troopers said.
Lamb died at the scene. The driver of the Ford was not injured.
