Kate Walsh Accidentally Reveals She's Engaged: "That Is My Fiancé"

Surprise — Kate Walsh is engaged! The actor shared the news during an Instagram Live conversation with Amy Brenneman on Oct. 5 in celebration of their show "Private Practice"'s 15th anniversary.

"Here comes the jungle cat. That is my fiancé," 55-year-old Walsh said at one point, per People, to which Brenneman replied, "She just 100 percent outed your engagement!" Walsh agreed, saying, "I did, I just outed our engagement," to which her fiancé responded, "Awww." She then showed off her diamond ring for the camera.

Walsh is engaged to Andrew Nixon, whose family have been farming malt barley and canola in Australia for decades. The pair have been linked since they reportedly met on a cruise in 2020, and they currently live in Perth, Australia, according to Forbes.

After the Instagram Live announcement, per Metro, Walsh shared a photo to her Instagram Story of two cocktails and tagged Nixon, adding the caption, "Celebrating w/ @andynix1!!"

Previously, Walsh was married to "Day Shift" executive producer Alex Young from 2007 to 2010. The actor will be reprising her role as Dr. Addison Montgomery in "Grey's Anatomy" season 19, which returns on Oct. 6. "You asked, we listened!" the official "Grey's Anatomy" Instagram account shared in a post confirming her return. "The iconic and legendary @katewalsh will be returning to this season of #GreysAnatomy 🤩"
