The remnants of Hurricane Ian might have been blowing outside Oct. 1, but that didn’t stop hundreds of guests from enjoying the seventh annual Southern Delaware Wine, Food and Music Festival.

The event featured food from dozens of restaurants, roughly 80 craft beers and cocktails, bands, a wine wall, a chef throwdown and silent auction items.

Traditionally held at the Independence community’s clubhouse near Millsboro, this year it moved to Hopkins Heartland on Fisher Road outside Lewes.

Proceeds are used to support area nonprofits. This year’s beneficiaries are Pathways to Success and Children’s Beach House. For more information on the nonprofits, go to pathways-2-success.org and cbhinc.org.
