Three thieves stole ATMs from four Brooklyn and Queens businesses in a two-week-long spree – and also snatched a dog from one of the stores during a caught-on-camera heist, police said Thursday.
The dog-napping incident took place inside a deli on Glenmore Avenue near New Jersey Avenue in East New York around 2:50 a.m. on Sept. 13, cops said.
The suspects cut multiple locks on a metal security gate before lifting it and going inside, cops said.
Surveillance footage shows a small black and white dog scampering around as the crew enters the store.
One of the suspects sweeps the pup into his arms and then goes into another room – where his two accomplices yank an ATM out of the wall and walk off with it, the video shows.
The dog has since been found and reunited with its owner, though cops did not have details on those circumstances.
In addition to the ATM — which $7,340 — the trio also stole a cash register holding about $2,800 and assorted merchandise valued at about $13,000, authorities said.
They took off in a white van, cops said. No injuries were reported.
During the other heists – on Sept. 1, 3 and 15 in Queens and on Sept. 8 in Brooklyn – the culprits made off with at least $33,200 in cash from the ATMs, as well as $400 from a register.
It’s unclear how much money was inside the ATM during the Sept. 15 incident.
No arrests have been made.
