First responders are at the scene of a crash involving police motorcycles in Waltham, Massachusetts. The crash happened at about 10:35 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Sheridan Road. Two Waltham police motorcycle officers were doing a funeral escort when they crashed, police said. No other vehicles were involved. Images from the scene show at least two motorcycles on their sides in the roadway and first responders tending to the riders. Both were taken to Lahey Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Waltham police said Main Street is closed from Hill Road to Market Place Drive, and drivers are asked to avoid the area.
