Possible street racing causes fatal car crash in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police say they responded to a fatal car crash that happened around 9:01 p.m. Wednesday night, Oct. 5 near Appleton and Fairmount.

According to police, car one was travelling at a high rate of speed, possibly racing car two, when it lost control and hit car two. Car one and car two both lost control and car one hit several trees.

The driver of car one, a 20-year-old Milwaukee man, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.

The passenger of car one, a 25-year-old Milwaukee man, died at the hospital.

The driver of car two was taken to a local hospital where they are expected to survive.

The driver of car one has been arrested and charges will be presented to the DA's office in the near future.
