How to Watch Chris Pratt as Mario in the ‘Super Mario Bros.’ Trailer Premiere

It’s finally happening: Nintendo is unveiling the first look at the upcoming animated Super Mario Bros. film. While this is a big deal, it’s not necessarily because of the iconic source material or the first-ever collaboration between Nintendo (one of the biggest video game companies in the world) and Illumination (the animation studio behind the Minions franchise). But rather, viewers have long-anticipated/dreaded hearing Chris Pratt’s portrayal of the very-Italian protagonist.

The film is set to release April 7, 2023 and boasts an all-star cast alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy actor, including Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, and Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong. Pratt recently took to Instagram to tease the “very special” trailer drop – also sharing the newly released poster – saying “get ready to be blown away!”

The trailer will premiere at New York Comic Con at 4:05 P.M. ET today (Oct. 6) during a 30-minute panel called, “The Super Mario Bros. film Teaser Trailer Premiere”. And luckily, for non-attendees, Nintendo will livestream the event through their official YouTube channel.

How to Watch the Super Mario Bros. Trailer

Nintendo will livestream the Super Mario Bros. trailer at 4:05 P.M. ET today (Oct. 6) via their YouTube channel. The company says the anticipated event will “introduce the world premiere trailer for the upcoming film,” but will not feature any new game information. It isn’t confirmed that we’ll be getting a listen at Pratt’s Mario voice in the trailer, but Nintendo definitely knows that we all want it.

The entire panel at NYCC is expected to be livestreamed and panelists/special guests have not yet been disclosed. While the event won’t begin until the listed time, fans are allowed to wait at the link above. At the time of writing, which is roughly 5 hours prior to the event, 6,592 people (and climbing) have set up camp at the webpage.
