Drew Barrymore continues to confirm that her and Adam Sandler’s off-screen friendship is just as strong as their on-screen chemistry. During today’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Showthe actress revealed that the Uncut Gems star is a big fan of her talk show.

While talking with Queen Latifah, Barrymore brought up the movie Hustlewhich her guest starred in alongside Sandler. When she said “everybody is loving and freaking out over” the movie, Queen Latifah pointed out that Barrymore has worked with him, too.

Though the duo starred in several films together — The Wedding Singer (1998), 50 First Dates (2004), and Blended (2014) — it was the 2004 rom-com about a guy who makes a girl with short-term memory loss fall in love with him over and over again that stood out to Queen Latifah.

“I love 50 First Dates. 50 First Dates is one of my favorite movies. It’s so damn good,” she said, to which a blushing Barrymore told her, “You don’t know how much that means to me.”

And to warm the hearts of all those Henry/Lucy, Robbie/Julia, and Jim/Lauren stans, Barrymore revealed that her old friend is a big fan of her show, adding that it “shocks” her how often he watches. According to the actress, “[Sandler] watches it all the time, he comments, like, ‘I loved the show today, Buddy.'”

The movie soulmates have reunited several times since their most recent film in 2014, including a virtual appearance Sandler made on the debut of The Drew Barrymore Show in September 2020. They also “rebooted” 50 First Dates for the talk show, where Sandler (as Henry) filled Barrymore (as Lucy) in on everything that happened in 2020.

The Drew Barrymore Show airs on weekdays at 9:30 a.m. ET on CBS.
