EASTPOINTE, MI – A Michigan FedEx driver has been charged after police found $96,000 worth of stolen Foot Locker merchandise in his home.

Morris Jones, 40, of Eastpointe was arraigned in the 38th District Court in Eastpointe on charges of embezzlement and receiving and concealing stolen property this week.

He was arrested after Eastpointe police were dispatched to a Foot Locker on 8 Mile Road on Monday. Staff there alleged that Jones was stealing merchandise instead of delivering it.

As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was executed at Jones’ home in the 23000 block of Courtland Avenue. The search resulted in the seizure of the stolen property and Jones was arrested without incident.

A warrant is also being sought for a female accomplice, according to police.

Bond was set at $25,000. He also is required to wear a GPS tether.
