Three Syracuse University students (and one alternate contestant) fell to Penn State University in the “Capital One College Bowl” but their journey to scholarship money isn’t over.

Syracuse University will compete in the second round of the “Capital One College Bowl” on Friday, October 7 (10/7/2022) at 8 p.m. ET. A live stream of the episode can be found on fuboTV, DirecTV stream, and other live streaming services listed below.

According to Syracuse, “in each first-round showdown, the two head-to-head winners automatically advanced into the quarterfinals, as did the runner-up with the most points. So even though the Syracuse team lost to Penn State on Sept. 16, they could secure a spot in the next round, as long as their point total was higher than the runner-up in the Spelman College vs. Albany State matchup.”

The runner-ups scored 390-330 which meant that the Orange was on their way to the second round after scoring 415-330 against Albany State.
