A 42-year-old man was found dead inside a travel trailer after a fire early Wednesday morning, the Charlestown police said.

The man was identified as Eric Fahlman, who'd been living in the trailer, the police said in a press release.

The trailer was located next to a house at 10 Center Street, and police officers found it engulfed in flames when they responded to the call at about 1 a.m., the police said.

Firefighters from the Charlestown Fire Department "quickly extinguished" the fire, but Fahlman's body was found inside, according to the police.

The state fire marshal and medical examiner's offices were notified, and the body was positively identified as Falhman, "the known occupant," according to the police.

The Charlestown police and the state fire marshal are investigating the cause of the fire.
