Iowa City man arrested after search warrant turns up drugs and firearms

A search warrant executed on an Iowa City man’s residence reportedly turned up multiple drugs and firearms, leading to his arrest.

The incident occurred at 6pm Wednesday at the Shady Glen Court residence of 27-year-old Maurice Bullock. Iowa City police located Bullock outside in a vehicle. A search reportedly turned up a loaded Ruger 57 pistol and a quantity of marijuana in the vehicle.

The residence was then searched, and police say they found various packaging materials commonly used in the sale of narcotics, glass jars containing marijuana, boxes of THC Vape cartridges, multiple firearms, and a large amount of cash.

Bullock has been charged with a Controlled Substance violation, Failure to Affix Drug Stamp, Keeping Premises for Controlled Substances, and Person Ineligible to Carry Dangerous Weapons. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to up to 13 years in prison.
