Suffolk Peanut Festival
Suffolk's famous Peanut Festival begins Thursday and runs throughout the weekend.
There's a little something for everyone, concerts, amusement rides, a demolition derby, fireworks and of course delicious food.

How about staying indoors with a plethora of mac and cheese?
The Mac and Cheese Festival is coming to the Waterside District Saturday, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Starting at $10 a ticket, you can try Mac and Cheese dishes from more than a dozen local restaurants.
There will also be drinks on site, and contests running throughout the day.
Chesapeake Virginia Wine Festival
This is for the 21 and up crowd…Chesapeake is hosting its Virginia Wine Festival this Saturday at the Chesapeake City Park.
It runs from noon until 6 p.m. tickets start at $40 apiece, and they sell out fast! A ticket gives you the chance to taste wine from 20 Virginia wineries.
The festival is also for charity, and the proceeds will benefit several local organizations.
